Mrs. Baquero’s Grade 11 and 12 Classic Literature students turned back the page to the good old days of reading.

Mrs. Baquero’s Grade 11 and 12 Classic Literature students turned back the page to the good old days of reading. They opened a book and dove into the wonderful world of literature.

In today's digital age, reading literature is often overlooked or replaced by other forms of media. However, literature offers countless benefits, including improved CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS, EMPATHY, and CULTURAL COMPETENCE.

Students selected a book of their choice to read and analyze. They explored the themes, characters, and literary devices employed in their chosen book. Through research and exploration, students developed a deeper understanding of literature as a powerful medium for storytelling and expression.

The goal of this project was to remind students that reading isn’t just an academic task, it’s a lifelong pleasure and a gateway to understanding the world and themselves, while building the skills they need for college and beyond.

In our fast-paced world, we don’t always pause to simply enjoy a good book. This project is a small but meaningful way to change that.
