Meet our Grades 1 – 12 Strings teacher, Dr. Hanna Yeo!
Dr. Yeo is from South Korea and has been a music lesson teacher for over 20 years, and a string orchestra teacher for 6 years. She previously taught at Robinson Middle School and Lakeside Middle and High School in Arkansas, before joining our Hanalani ‘Ohana. She was also an orchestra musician in Arkansas for 8 years.
Her hobbies are making Korean food like Kimchi, and street food, and playing the piano.
One of her favorite experiences was driving from Arkansas to New Mexico and Arizona with fellow church members as they journeyed together for an Arizona mission trip. It was a meaningful time of fellowship, filled with great conversations, reflection, and preparation for serving others.
Dr. Yeo shares her love of teaching, “I find great joy in seeing the excitement and sense of accomplishment that students feel when they master a new skill or piece of music. It's wonderful to witness them grow in confidence, not only as musicians but as individuals. Whether it's learning a new technique or preparing for a performance, I love seeing their dedication, hard work, and the way they encourage one another.”
Mahalo, Dr. Yeo! We are blessed to have you!
