Meet our new Grade 7 & 8 math & science teacher, Mrs. Hartley Sahagun!

#GettingToKnowYou - Meet our new Grade 7 & 8 math & science teacher, Mrs. Hartley Sahagun!

Mrs. Sahagun is equally from Texas and North Carolina, so she normally says she’s from the South. She’s been teaching since 2007, and taught in New Orleans, San Diego, Abilene, and Asheville before joining our Hanalani ‘Ohana.

She loves reading sci-fi books, memoirs, and the Bible; painting; restoring furniture; decorating; attending festivals; traveling; and shopping, especially for antiques and thrifted items. She plans to start diving lessons soon. Awesome!

A fun fact about her is she has been on a safari in South Africa and her dad was a minister.

Mrs. Sahagun shares her love for teaching with us, “The students say and do the funniest things especially in middle school. Every day my students make me laugh, and I genuinely enjoy their company!”

E komo mai, Mrs. Sahagun! We are blessed to have you!

Our “GETTING TO KNOW YOU” series, will introduce our teachers so you can get to know them a little better. Stay tuned for more introductions!
