When in Rome… Grade 7 students learned about the architecture, military, and engineering of Rome through hands-on projects for STEAM WEEK.
Students utilized math skills involving proportions and ratios to build small engineering projects, including an aqueduct, a scale model of a fort, and Roman roads. They developed their understanding of art and life science by making Roman mosaics of Hawaiian sea life.
Through this STEAM WEEK project, students learned about the civilization Jesus was born into, which gave them a deeper understanding of the biblical context of the Gospels.
