Meet one of our Grade 1 teachers, Ms. Erin Sowers!
Meet one of our Grade 1 teachers, Ms. Erin Sowers!
Ms. Erin Sowers is from Hershey, Pennsylvania and has taught at Southern Oak Elementary in Tampa Bay, Florida and at Hershey Christian School in Hershey, Pennsylvania before joining our Hanalani ‘Ohana.
In her spare time, she likes traveling to see family and friends, being outdoors in God's creation, visiting local coffee shops, and having coffee with friends.
A fun fact about her is during high school, she worked as a pastry apprentice at Chocolate World. She and her best friend made cookies, cakes, cupcakes, etc. for the tourists who visited Hershey, PA. The best part was that if the baked goods didn't turn out perfect, they could not sell them. Instead, they all scored big time in the sweet department and got to take home the "imperfect" ones. She remembers getting to take home a white chocolate mousse cake for her family because they accidentally dented the cake when they were putting it in the cake box. SWEET!
Ms. Sowers shares her love of teaching, “I love seeing my students get excited about learning, building friendships, and becoming problem solvers. What brings me the most joy is observing them recognizing who God is and how He is at the center of all that we are learning.”
