Meet our new Grade 1 teacher, Mrs. Summer Tan!
#GettingToKnowYou - Meet our new Grade 1 teacher, Mrs. Summer Tan!
Mrs. Tan was born and raised here in Mililani. This school year is her 17th year of teaching. She previously taught at Grace Fellowship Children’s Center, Waimalu Elementary, and Salt Lake Elementary before joining our Hanalani ‘Ohana.
She loves to sing, draw, and paint. These days however, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing Animal Crossing with her son.
A fun fact about her is she has a BIG family and LOVES it! 2 children, 7 brothers and sisters, and 21 nieces and nephews! “Christmas time is good fun!!” says Mrs. Tan.
Mrs. Tan shares her love for teaching with us, “I love being with children. The way children view the world is filled with wonder, curiosity, and a sense of innocence that has always inspired me to be better and to appreciate life more.”
