Our Grade 1 students enjoyed a visit from the Honolulu Zoo Society

Our Grade 1 students continued their Project Based Learning (PBL) unit on raising an awareness and promoting the conservation of animals with a guest speaker from the Honolulu Zoo Society, Zoo Educator, Haley Shields.

During this visit, students learned about a variety of animal species. They learned first-hand how big an ostrich’s egg is and how sharp the quills of a porcupine are (not to worry, they are not that sharp.)

MAHALO to the Honolulu Zoo Society and Haley Shields for inspiring our students!
