Upper School’s STEAM WEEK Art of Paper Quilling

Upper School’s ART portion of STEAM WEEK delved into the delicate and beautiful world of PAPER QUILLING.

Paper quilling involves taking strips of colored paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create designs. The origins of paper quilling, or paper rolling, are unknown, but it’s believed to have begun with the invention of paper making. Paper quilling was used as decoration for greeting cards, boxes, or jewelry, as well as an art form.

Our students really got into it and created beautiful and very creative art pieces.
