Hanalani's Upper School
The Upper School (grades 7-12) of Hanalani Schools is designed to help students increase in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). As a college preparatory school, Hanalani strives for academic excellence in all areas. In addition to core subjects, we offer a variety of electives to help students become well-rounded individuals.
The school day begins with devotions and prayer. The students then follow different class schedules. Teachers incorporate a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. Parents are encouraged to be proactive in the education of their children because the best results are attained when teachers, parents, and students cooperate. By working hard and taking care of classroom responsibilities, the student will be able to take the next step educationally.
Curricular Topics
The Upper School operates on a modified block schedule. Classes meet for approximately 36 weeks per year. Each core subject class that receives a yearly credit meets for approximately 3.5 hours per week.
Students who graduate from Hanalani Schools exceed the state’s graduation standards.
