5th Grade Boards the "Mighty MO"
5/15/2013

On Friday, May 10, our three 5th grade classes headed over to the Pearl Harbor Memorial for an overnight excursion aboard the USS Missouri. While there, they were able to visit the USS Arizona, USS Bowfin, USS Missouri, and two exhibits. They had a scavenger hunt as well as filled in information about World War II.

Some of the students favorites were: touring the USS Bowfin, eating on board the USS Missouri, getting ready for bed (using antique showers and toilets), and sleeping in the bunks in the "enlisted men's quarters."

What a great way to celebrate Military Appreciation Month and remember all those who have served our country.

"Those Who Can Do More, Volunteer."
5/2/2013

“Those who can, do. Those who can do more, volunteer.” Author Unknown

This is Volunteer Appreciation Week nationwide. At Hanalani Schools we would be remiss not to give a shout out  to our many faithful volunteers who do so much in our school behind the scenes.

Among the many ways they impact our school, our volunteers help…

- in car line every morning

- the teachers in the classroom or go on fieldtrips

- during special events such as Family Fun Day and Spirit Week

- our fundraising efforts

- by giving of their time, talents, and money

- daily operations in our campus store

- give campus tours to prospective parents during Open House

In the words of William Shakespeare, “can no other answer make, but, thanks, and thanks.”

(For more pictures of our volunteers in action check out our Facebook page!)

One of the students in that class brought in 60 cans by himself! Mahalo to all those who participated in giving.

Kanani Auwae Signs with New Mexico Highlands University
4/17/2013

Kanani Auwae decided to take up volleyball 3 years ago, but she had no idea it would lead her to this moment. She started off at the JV level of ILH competition under Coach Nathan Ramos. It was during her Sophomore year that she was introduced to Coach and Trainer Ali'i Robins. She had never looked into the world of club volleyball before, but Robins opened her eyes to new possibilities. Though she never played for Robins, he has been her trainer and mentor for the past 2 years. She played club volleyball for the Marinas Volleyball Club under the coaching of Briana Uiti for the past 2 years and has gained much experience through working with her. Kanani was named MVP for the 2012 club season and was a second team all-star for the 2012 ILH DII season.

Earlier today, Kanani signed her letter of intent to New Mexico Highlands University on a full-tuition scholarship.

"I thank God for this opportunity, most of all the offers. I never pictured this being a part of His plan." - Kanani Auwae

Nakamoto Family Fund
3/27/2013

Hanalani Ohana,

Many of you are aware that Mrs. Gwen Nakamoto has been struggling with her health for the past several years.  With a very heavy heart, we share that the doctors informed the family that it may only be a few days before she goes home to Heaven.  We love her greatly and ask for your continued prayers for her and her family.

Some of you have kindly inquired about helping with the family's expenses.  Hanalani has established an account to receive contributions to the Nakamoto family.

If you would like to help, cash or checks can be sent to Hanalani Schools' Development Office and marked Nakamoto Family.   We will let the family know who the gifts are from.  If you would like to remain anonymous, please annotate that on your check or envelope.

If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact Cindy De Lizo at 625-0737 x122 or cindyd@hanalani.org.

"Blast to the Past" by Jordan Deen
3/6/2013

Over Christmas break, Miss Jessica Abshire, one of our 6th grade teachers, entered a few of her students into the Subject of Interest Essay Contest hosted by the United States Achievement Academy (USAA).

The students were to write a 300-500 word fictional story centered around a historical topic. One of her students decided to write on Ancient Egypt and the pyramids.

In mid-February, Jordan Deen received the grand prize check of $500 in the mail. Jordan says she is setting that money aside for college funds. Her teacher, Miss Abshire is very proud of her, and so is her school! Well done, Jordan! Read her Essay: Blast to the Past!

What Students Liked Most About Friendship Day
2/25/2013

This past Friday, our Upper Elementary students partnered with an Upper School student for the day. They went to classes together, ate lunch together, and even spent break times together. What do the students enjoy most about Friendship Day? Hear it from them in their own words:

Lexi H. - I enjoyed the fact that I had a little sister for the day. We enjoyed a feast at lunch and got to make Spanish Tiles together.

Jathan M. - My favorite part about Friendship Day was getting to go to Robotics class and make tops.

Samara V. - I liked that my buddy bought me soda and popcorn. We also got to make a lava lamp and do an experiment with milk and food coloring.

Gio V. - I just enjoyed hanging out with 6th graders all day. My buddy and I had a lot in common.

Christopher W. - I got to eat candy!

Student's Poem Published on National Park Service Website
2/12/2013

Korianne Obara was inspired to write a poem about volcanoes after visiting the Big Island with her Hanalani 4th Grade class, and it has recently been published on the National Park Service Hawai'i Volcanoes website.
Great work, Korianne!

The volcano rumbles
The rocks tumble
Down down the hills they slide
Into the water that was there beside
Up into the air the ocean sprays
Down to the bottom the rocks are to stay
The volcano erupted letting lava out from a crack
Leaving behind a molden hot track
Burning down trees it left in it's wake
Destroyed homes it was to take

Congratulations to Sarah Liva!

Lady Royals Fight for 3rd
2/8/2013

Hanalani Vs. Kauai

Playing for 3rd place against the #2 seed Kauai would be no easy task. But to help with the atmosphere, we packed up our 4th-12th graders and sent them along to cheer on our Lady Royals. Our Royals used their speed and fiery passing to take an early lead closing out the 1st quarter 13-9. Battling for every possession, we maintain our lead 25-23 at the half. Although the Royals seemed to control the game for the most part, Kauai takes a slight lead 33-32 by the end of the third. As nerves set in, each team pours their hearts into what would be their last game of the season. With the score going back and forth and the crowds from both sides cheering their team on we arrive at the last 5 minutes of the game. School spirit was high, and our girls were giving it everything they had, but nothing seemed to be going their way at that point, and Kauai took a few quick shots nailing a 3 and shortly after a jumper to put them (Kauai) ahead by 6 points. Once again we resorted to fouling to try and get another possession and another bucket. But in the end, it was not meant to be. Kauai wins 49-42, and Hanalani brings home a 4th place finish. Congratulations to Coach Hiers, his coaching staff, and the team for a great season.

Notable standouts: Sarah Liva with 16 points, Dylan McCorquodale - 12, Catherine Armstrong - 6, Lyna Kehler - 4, Sabrina Stratton - 2, Kara Tanaka - 2.

Royals Advance to State Semi-Finals
2/7/2013

Hanalani Vs. Kalaheo

As our Lady Royals advanced to play the Kalaheo Mustangs, they knew they were in for a tough game. Kalaheo, OIA White Champions, was seeded #4 in the state. Early on, the game was close fought, but the Royals could never seem to take charge of the game, and they always seemed to be trailing by a slight margin. At the half, Hanalani was down 24-27. But after the half was another story. Our girls came out strong and took a 6 point lead in the beginning of the 3rd. Kalaheo began to get in foul trouble sending our girls to the line. While it was not our night for free-throws, the 4th quarter proved to be a make-it or break-it deal. With only minutes to go in the 4th, the score was once again tied. The Lady Royals started delivering on those free-throws, while Kalaheo's players began fouling out. Nail-biting and exciting till the end, our Girls Varsity made Hanalani history by advancing to the semi-finals of the state tournament! Final score: Hanalani 55, Kalaheo 46.

Notable standouts: Sarah Liva with 20 points, Lyna Kehler - 13, Dylan McCorquodale - 8, Catherine Armstrong - 7, Sabrina Stratton - 5, Kara Tanaka - 2.

Next up: Hanalani Vs. Kamehameha Hawaii, Feb. 7, at 7 PM (Kalani H.S.) Tune in to Am 1500 for the game.

Christmas Blessings
12/21/2012

Christmas Blessings: Adopt a Family is an ongoing Christmas tradition for our Ohana. Once again, we partnered with the Ulu Ke Kukui Transitional Housing in Maili. They assist families in becoming self-sufficient and securing permanent housing. This year, we adopted 10 families. Students were encouraged to bring in $3 each and could also donate various new or like-new items. The money was used to buy a gift card to a nearby grocery store so that each family could have a nice Christmas dinner as well as a Christmas Wish List item for each family member.

This morning, some of our faculty, staff, students, and parents came and loaded up 5 vehicles and drove them over to the Transitional Housing. They were able to meet 2 of the families for a short time and share in the joy of giving. This picture could represent our entire Ohana. Thank you for giving and making this Holiday season a little more special for these 10 families.

Boys Basketball Season Openers
11/21/2012

Our Intermediate Boys Basketball Team had their season opener Tuesday, November 20 facing off against the competitive Hawaii Baptist Academy. With HBA controlling the game from the beginning, our boys had to work extra hard to keep in the game. Midway through the 3rd, the Royals were down by 9. They used their defense to get some key stops along with some key steals. With just under 35 seconds to go in the game and down by 2, Jesse L. got the steal and sent the assist up to Korrey S. who laid it in. Tied! About 20 seconds left and HBA has the ball. With a tough man defense and an entire team effort, Korrey was able to get the steal and lay in yet another lay-up with 5 seconds to spare! Hanalani Royals win 38-36! Way to go, Coach Stoker and team!

The Int. Boys were not the only ones to play a season opener at home on Tuesday. Our JV Boys Basketball Team also had their season opener against Island Pacific Academy. The Royals took a quick lead, and the entire team was able to get in on the action. Final score 46-14 Royals. Great job, Coach Vanaman and team.

A Special Thanksgiving Gift
11/20/2012

1,778 - That is the number of canned goods our Elementary Division brought in during our EL Canned Food Drive. Our goal was for each class to bring in 60 canned goods. We far exceeded that goal with an average of 104 cans per class! This past Saturday, 14 of our 5th grade students and 4 faculty/staff members delivered half of the food items to Ulu Ke Kukui Transitional Shelter and then joined them for their annual Thanksgiving party.

This picture shows our students in front of the food items they bagged. The bagged food items were later raffled to families in the shelter. A special mahalo to all of our Hanalani Ohana who participated in making this a special Thanksgiving for those at this shelter.

"Summer Travels" Poll Answer
8/24/2012

Hanalani history department head Julie Stoker traveled to Europe this summer to take part in a National Endowment for the Humanities seminar/institute called “Johann Sebastian Bach in the Baroque Era and in Our Time.” This four-week program took place in Eisenach, Leipzig, and Potsdam, Germany.

Leipzig, at approximately 7,400 miles, is the answer to our recent “Summer Travels” poll, where we asked “What was the farthest distance that was traveled from Hawaii by one of our faculty/staff?”

If you look closely in the picture below, you’ll see Ms. Stoker in the window of a famous coffee house in Leipzig. Thanks to everyone for guessing!

Roadmap to Academic Success
4/24/2012

STEM, SAT, AP, GPA, what do all of these things mean? It's hard enough just to keep up with the acronyms in the ever-changing world of education, let alone how these things actually impact your child's future. While the landscape on the road to college is definitely a dynamic one, Hanalani's Upper School team wants to do everything we can to help parents and students navigate successfully the road to academic success. In order to facilitate this conversation we have designed a custom workshop specifically for 6th through 12th grade parents to help explain some of the nuances of the academic planning process. We will also provide some insight as to what different types of higher educational institutions are really looking for in high school graduates. It may surprise you to know it's not just their GPA!

Come join us Thursday, April 26th at 7pm in the SAC Conference room for a short presentation by our Upper School Principal, Winston Sakurai, on preparing your child for college. This will be followed by an open question and answer time. We think you will benefit from this informative session and you'll be glad you came. Remember, it's never too early to plan for your child's future!

His new PR of 11.13 was not only the fastest of the day, but this time also automatically qualifies him into States. This is second event the he has qualified for states already (the other being the 200M). He is still contemplating the 400M as a possible third event.

Explorations Trip
3/19/2012

On Friday, March 19th 2012 the 7th and 8th grade students went on their second annual Explorations trip. Since the first Explorations was a community service trip to help clean up Secret Island at Kualoa Ranch, the second one had an exciting flare as we journeyed down to Ala Moana Beach Park for a day of screaming and sand castles. Each student had the opportunity to ride the Honolulu Screamer speed boat off of the shores of Waikiki. The boat raced through the water at top speed, stopping abruptly to make 180 degree turns and soak everyone on board. There was also a time to check out the waters off of our island where our students were able to see dolphins and some baby whales. Back at the beach, other groups were engaged in playing a unique game of water balloon volleyball and competing in a sand sculpture contest.

Weekend Update
3/18/2012

Boys Int Volleyball kept their place with the early league leaders with a victory over AOP in the SAC on Sat. They are tied on top of league with a 3-0 record

Int Golf- McKenzie Milton fired a 64 at Bay View on Sat. to keep his 7th place ranking on the season. He will have one more chance to improve his standings at Hawaii Kai this Sat. (Last one of the season)

WESTPAC Girls Int. Softball went 1-1 on the weekend taking one game from Punahou and losing to Iolani.

WESTPAC Girls Varsity softball has been slowly building their pitching staff and defensive rotation early in the season. They have faced the top half of the teams in the league so far and have come short in those contests.

WESTPAC Boys Int. Baseball took an early lead on Punahou on Sat. but their pitching was not able to hold up as Punahou came back in the later innings to secure the victory.

PAC Five Varsity Baseball also has a very young group this year and working on developing their pitching rotation

Tough Night
2/23/2012

Facing an already height difference advantage for Hawaii Prepatory Academy, our Boys Basketball team was up for the challenge in the first night of the 2012 HHSAA Boys Basketball Division II Championships at Kaimuki High School. HPA got off to fast start scoring early and often from inside the paint, but our Royals fought back with some deft shooting of their own. Midway through the second quarter, Kainoa Petersen suffers an ankle sprain and has to sit out for most of the rest of the half.

Just moments after this, Kainoa Souza-Chaves receives a gash to his forehead that is severe enough that he is taken to the hospital for stiches. Playing without their two Senior captains, Pomi Milton steps up his game and provides the scoring touch from the outside. Kainoa Petersen returned to the floor with an obvious limb, but played toughed.  John Brady and Michael Milton used their quickness to get to the bucket with some lay-ups, but HPA size proved to be a bit too much on the boards and they took control of the game from just before the half and kept the lead and posted the victory at 69-55.

Boys will be back in action tomorrow again at Kaimuki at 7:00 PM challenging Kappa of Kauai. Winner of this game will play on Sat. at 9 AM at Neal Blaisdell Center.

Consolation Championship Game
2/9/2012

The Girls Varsity basketball team was able to match everything that Hawaii Baptist Academy Eagles came with in the semi-final match-up of the HHSAA Girls Division  II State consolation game. The Lady Royals fired off first with a 6-0 run to start the game, HBA pulled back at the end of the first quarter to a 10-7 lead for Hanalani. The Eagles put on their full court press for the entire game and in the second quarter, the Lady Royals were already in the bonus where they took advantage from the charity line and a halftime 22-15 score.

HBA started the third quarter at another notch higher, but the Lady Royals sustained  and matched the energy to move the lead to 38-21 going into the 4th quarter. The Eagles having to play catch-up ball placed themselves again in the foul trouble and sent our girls to the line. Sarah Hyde, Sarah Liva, Catherine Armstrong, Lyna Kehler, and Nikki Gonzalez all converted on the free throw line in the 4th quarter to keep a 14 point lead with 1:44 to go. HBA never gave up, Lady Royals kept plugging away to a 47-35 victory. (Sarah Liva had a monster night on the boards and game high scorer with 25 points)

Girls Varsity State Run
2/9/2012

The Girls varsity basketball team made the trek back to Kalani last night to square off against the #3 seed in the State tournament ,and undefeated in the regular season play, the Spartans of Maryknoll. Maryknoll came out on fire from the tip off and went on a 11-0 run before the Lady Royals were able to score a bucket. During the rest of the first half, the Spartans used their ¾ court trap to force numerous turnovers and pull to a 31-11 lead.

Our young ladies never gave up and Sarah Liva and Nikki Gonzalez speared on a late first half surge to bring the score to a 39-26 deficit heading into halftime. In the 3rd quarter, both teams were able trade buckets and Spartans were hanging to an 11 point lead heading into the last quarter. With Lyna Kehler on the point, Sarah Liva in the post and Nikki Gonzalez  and Sarah Hyde on the wings, it was time for the upset comeback in the 4th. First Sarah Hyde hits baseline jumper to cut the lead to 9 points, MS scores, Lyna Kehler sinks one free throw, misses second, Sarah Hyde rebound and is fouled. Hyde makes one, done to 5 points.

Back and forth action, Maryknoll is able to convert on several possessions, Nikki comes off a screen and is fouled on the shot, bucket is good, free throw is also good, within 6 points. Nikki is fouled again on the next transition, makes 1 free throw, Lady Royals within 5 points with 1:41 left on the clock. Forced now to foul as MS controls the clock and ball, Spartans are able to convert on their free throws, Sarah Hyde fouls out, then Lyna Kehler, Lady Royals fought hard to end as Maryknoll held on to a 70-60 victory.

Next up is HBA at 7:00 PM , back again to Kalani. If we win, we will play for 5th place at 9:00 AM tomorrow morning at Blaisdell Arena

Royals topple Tigers
2/7/2012

Opening night for the 2012 HHSAA Girls State Basketball Championship proved to be victorious for the Girls Varsity Basketball team as they came from behind to post the victory over McKinley High School. The Lady Royals got off to fast start and led in the 1st quarter only to see the Lady Tigers roared back with a hot shooting second quarter and a 13 point half time lead.

Led by some tenacious play by Senior Nikki Gonzalez and two critical lay-ups in the final quarter, the Lady Royals came all the way back to a 3 point win. It took several defensive stops, defensive rebounding from Sarah Liva from the third quarter and into the fourth quarter to chip away at the lead until finally in the last minute of the game did our Lady Royals take a four point lead with 40 seconds to go. The Tigers had one last desperation shot that was just long as the buzzer sounded. Next up is the #1 seed from ILH and #3 seed Maryknoll in the tournament at Kalani Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.

Boys Varsity basketball pulled out a 10 point victory over Lanakila Baptist on Tuesday night. Pending on what front runner St Francis does this week, there is still an outside chance for a first place tie of the ILH title.

The Lady Royals were able to hold St Francis to just one point in the second quarter to take a 21-15 halftime lead. The Saints pulled within a few buckets in the third with 2-3 pointers, but our girls held tough and both Sarah Liva and Sarah Hyde combined to control the rebound edge and 10 made free throws in the 4th quarter  help seal the victory and another trip to the State Tournament.

Overtime was the name of the game last night in the SAC for both the Girls and Boys Varsity games. For the girls in their match-up with HBA,  HBA was able to finally take control in the extra period and claim a 46-42 win. Spreading Christmas Cheer
12/12/2011

Last Saturday, Dec. 10, our Elementary Royals Choir and Upper School Strings Ensemble spread a little Christmas cheer by performing to the community at the Waipio Shopping Center. There was a great turn out as many people gathered outside of Foodland to listen. Miss Peterson, the director of the Royals Choir, said that the students did a wonderful job singing at an outside venue. She said they have improved their stage presence and confidence while still being able to remember all the correct singing techniques. This venue gave the students a real life opportunity to use what they have been learning in the classroom. The students in the Royals Choir and Strings Ensemble look forward to the next time they can be involved in the community.

Elementary Donates 1,348 Food Items
11/21/2011

Thanksgiving. What a great time of the year to show our thanks for everything that God has provided. During the past two weeks, our Elementary Division headed a Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive to give back to those in need. Mrs. Moore, the head of our Elementary Student Leadership Team (SLT), organized a Campaign Committee,  consisting of Elementary students from the SLT. This Committee specifically helped out with this canned food drive by collecting all the food items from various bins, counting, boxing them up, and labeling the boxes. The SLT proposed a goal of  1,000 food items – about 3 items per Elementary student – and a reward of a “No Written Homework” night.  Mrs. Nakamoto, the Principal, approved the goal and reward so the students took on the challenge and worked hard to achieve it. Two students, Leila & Stacy, felt inspired to help others even more and went door-to-door in their neighborhood asking and collecting canned foods for the food drive.  They were able to collect 75 cans of food in two afternoons.  Through student efforts such as these, not only did the students  reach their goal, but they surpassed it and brought in 1,348 food items!  Twenty-three boxes of food items were presented to representatives of the Central Oahu Family Guidance Center in Pearl City in this morning’s 4th-6th grade chapel.  The rest of the food items will be donated to the Ulu Ke Kukui transitional housing center in Mail’i. Way to give Elementary! Thank you for your giving spirit and  enjoy your night of no written homework!

Learning to Speak in Public
11/16/2011

In order to better equip our students with the proper life skills, Hanalani Schools has added a new class this year that is required of all students before they graduate: Public Speaking. Public Speaking is a project based class taught by Mrs. Eoute. The goal of this class is to get students comfortable and competent in speaking effectively in front of an audience. How to use their voices to project, their tone to their advantage, and their body language to effectively communicate a message, are some of the things the students are learning through practice. The students during their one semester class deliver a Personal Experience, Informative, Demonstration, Persuasive, and Devotional speech and an Interview. This speech class shows in a very tangible way how communication - one of the five critical 21st Century Skills Hanalani Schools strives to cultivate in our students - is being developed in our students.

Making a Difference
10/24/2011

On Saturday, October 22, about 20 students from our Elementary and Upper School volunteered to help out at the Mililani "Make a Difference Day" at Mililani Rec 7. Mrs. Lee worked with the Elementary students, while Mrs. Robinson helped the Upper School students. From unloading items from cars to boxing up canned goods, these students gave back to their community with smiles on their faces. Councilman Ernie Martin (wearing the orange vest) requested to take a picture with our students. He thanked our students for their help and hard work. Lori, the coordinator of this event and a member of the MTA was very pleased with our group. She said they did a great job bringing positive energy. Thank you students for your service and good example to our community.

Spanish Class Awarded $100

Mrs. Jennifer Haole, our Spanish teacher, received an email regarding the Adopt-A-Classroom program. She decided to go ahead and fill out the application. For the past 3 years, Mrs. Haole has been nominating students for the People to People Ambassador Program. This past summer, one of her students, James Thayne, was able to attend one of the Leadership Conferences on the mainland. It was the People to People Ambassador Program that adopted Mrs. Haole's classroom and donated $100 for supplemental materials. Mrs. Haole plans to purchase some classroom posters, books with reproducible worksheets that will reinforce grammar and vocabulary terms, Spanish vocabulary flashcards, and a few other items. Way to go Mrs. Haole!

Heads Up!
10/23/2011

Hanalani is getting a new roof on the Weinberg Building and is in the process of finalizing arrangements to install a Photovoltaic (PV) system on several of our buildings.

The Business Office and the Student Activities Center (SAC/Gym) will both require new roof systems before the PV project can be completed. However, due to the current condition of the Weinberg and the very real possibility of the PV project coming to fruition, Hanalani Administration has decided that now is the time to act on the Weinberg.

Akamai Roofing has done work for Hanalani (including the Fremont and Atrium Buildings completed this past summer) and will be the contractor responsible for completing the work on the Weinberg Building this week. Weather permitting the plan is to begin on the Early Childhood playground side on Monday, October 24th closing the playground completely until finishing that side of the building Tuesday afternoon. The plan calls for finishing the parking lot side by Thursday evening with some final clean-up on Friday.

The Hanalani Team and Akamai Roofing team are coordinating efforts to ensure maximum safety and minimal impact on overall school operations. Safety barriers and cones will be used to specify work areas and an Akamai representative will be stationed on the ground at all times to monitor pedestrian traffic and communicate to customers any potential dangers.

We appreciate your patience while we work to improve your facilities. Mahalo!

Botball Robot to be Displayed at APEC
10/20/2011

Congratulations to Mr. Chenfu Chiang and the botball team!  Earlier this summer they competed in the International Robotics Competition and for the second time in a row, took home first place. Now they are being recognized by the Robotics Organizing Committee and have been asked to showcase their robot, Colossus, at APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) for world leaders to see, as well as media. This year, the APEC will take place at the Hawaii Convention Center.  The robot will be held there on display from Nov. 8-13, 8am-5pm. Then it will transfer over to HCC (Hawaii Community College) and stay there from Nov. 14, 2011- Dec. 2012. Afterwards, the robot will be placed on permanent display; location of display is TBD.

When asked about the importance of having the robot showcased at APEC in relation to Hanalani, Mr. Chiang said, “It’s good exposure for our school because our school is not as well known, so it’ll be good to get our school’s name out there." When asked, Mr. Chiang stated that he and his team are highly unlikely to visit the conference and see the display. “It’s not necessary because we’ve already seen the robot. It’d be good to just look around though,” he replied. Nevertheless, Mr. Chiang feels excited about the opportunity to showcase the robot “even though we have to reveal a lot of our secret techniques."  Mr. Chiang also encourages everyone to come out and support this year’s botball team in the regional competition. The competition will take place at the Hawaii Convention Center on May 12, 2012. Also, this year’s International Botball Competition will be held in Hawaii on July 2012.
