Athletic Department Philosophy
Athletics is an effective avenue to develop and imbue spiritual attributes and skills of leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, physical strength, work ethic, and mental discipline.
Hanalani Schools considers participation in the athletic department seasons a privilege and not a right of student. Thus, the requirement and expectation of any student who willingly participates must meet or exceed the school's academic and spiritual requirements. It is a part of the school's goal to offer extra-curricular activities to those students who can demonstrate their fufillment of their primary repsonsibilities to God, family and school.
Department Verses
"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man which striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown: but we an incorruptible." -- 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (KJV)
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matt. 5:17 (KJV)
Royal Creed
"I am a Royal, a Strongman, and Jesue increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man, and so will I"
